No, that's a customers car. We just rebuilt the trans in it.
We first put the valve body back in it that it came with.... but someone had drilled the **** out of the plates, and also mismatched upper and lower valve body's. So we located one that was all original and I went through it, and that is what we put in it last night.

A lot of it is just knowing what to look for. If I didn't know how to read Ford part numbers, it would be a lot more difficult. Ford completely changed the valve body on the FMX in 1968. The valve body has 3 main body's, and one of them was from a 67. The kickdown valve is half the size in 1968 that it was in 1967. The crappiest thing about it is the motor has a decent cam in it, and it only produces 9 pounds vacuum at idle. The FMX modulator likes between 18 according to the Ford workshop manual.
It had 1st and 3rd gears only when we got it. It has all 3 again.
Tried talking him into going with a built AOD because an AOD doesn't need vacuum - and you get OD. But he wanted to keep this FMX.

Finished that Ford Edge, drives like new again. The drivers side I cut everything away with a sawzal. Passenger side, sawzal couldn't touch it...Hardened parts on that side ...good stuff. Took my small angle grinder w/cut-off to get that apart.
There's that Wagoneer again white. Liking his channel, he'll do better w/o Matt imo. Now that's a stabilizer, -
