The Wife and I just toured the area, observing the wind damage. The usual blown-down fences and trees are present... and this phenomenon requires an explanation. How does a sign blow off, and land right there?
It's like a one and a million shot. Something you might see in a hurricane or tornado.
I think there's a you tube vid out there with a trampoline about 100' in the air as well....just cruising along lol.
. EDIT: Holy ****.... I just looked in the back yard and I've got pieces of my neighbors dead poplar tree everywhere. I hate having conversations with people about just being decent humans. FFS, if your tree has been dead for 2 years, cut it down.
Lawsuit possible. Lots of angles. Can hire it handled, pay high as high demand for their services, and bill them. Then still sue for emotional disruption of life, Knowing it WOULD happen, but not when, making that area of your yard unsafe 24/7 for years. And then, keep it for firewood. Don't snowplow their drive anymore.

This is the house on the other side of me. We confronted them right after we put the brand new roof on, because one of the other dead trees was falling on our house. The Wife was pretty pissy with us, and literally said "that's what insurance is for". Her husband politely told her to shut up, and he said he'd get it taken down (albeit 2 months later). He also told me to throw all of the debris in his yard. They have one more dead poplar on my fence line, and three more not on my fence line (all dead). Their willow tree out front is also a messy unit.

Messy is one thing. Insurance often has a deductable which they can be legitimately billed. Hire guys to return the limbs, and bill him. Or don't feel comfortable throwing it over his fence? Haul it to his front yard. Wait a week before you call the city. He almost sounds reasonable. And pity him his partner. Have a witness for future discussions. Don't need the firewood, eh? If fence issues, his insurance should be the one on the hook.
EDIT: The city can handle the dead tree issue. If he cannot afford it, they'll do it and put a lien, collectable when sold or transfered.
Mostly testing out my new cutter. Nothing officially official. I like to see what's inside. None of the filters I opened were the same size, so not really a decent comparison.
BUT, the inside of the Wix was definitely impressive.
Same here... We got about 3 inches in an hours time yesterday. It snowed a but more this morning too. I put a ton of ice melt down last night though because I could tell it was going to be slick. Looks like it's still working.
