I decided to cut an access hole in the rear floor pan of the Camaro to replace the fuel pump.
You have to drop the axle and exhaust to drop the tank, and since I am already patching the rusty front floor pans what's 1 more patch.

↑ The T-tops leaked and caused the rust; the rest of the car is pretty clean.

↨ I drilled the corners to keep them from cracking, and used a strip of metal as a straight edge when cutting.
I used my drill stops to keep from drilling into the gas tank.

↑ It was looking pretty good, zero rust so far.

↨ Until I pulled the sending unit.
Not looking good.

↨ Looks like I'm still pulling the tank....

↑ Smells nasty!

I already had the pump, tank came yesterday, still waiting on the straps and sending unit.

LOL , sounds like fun. The roads sat lower where I was back then. There was 4 or 5' in the road way..it was over my head. Hardly nothing in the fields, you see dirt in spots. The wind, mother nature trapped folks in pretty good. We had one snowmobile, I don't really recall needing it to get anywhere. There where some big loaders, tractors clearing. Too deep for the county trucks...couldn't get a V blade through it.

I haven't seen it snow like that here since. You guys still get them out there.

That was nasty. What about the fuel line, can you make your own, farm it out or can you still purchase sections for that car ?

I think it's been 30 years or so since CO had a deep blizzard (at least in these parts... the mountains get them all the time). Long before I got here, anyway.

I grew up in PA, and they get walloped like that every 10 years or so.

Yeh I don't think we have gotten more than two foot but once in my lifetime. I can also count on my fingers how often I've seen snow at home. People lose their minds here.

I can make my own, but I am 2 miles from Inline Tube, and they stock them.
So, might buy them.

Pics of the lower 1/4's inside and out, no rust.

Factory spare but missing the inflator can.

3 weeks to deliver a scratch and dent set, why is that ? Didn't you purchase "as is" ? Should of left with them.... a lot can happen in 3 weeks.

Unless they're replacing panels for you, waiting on parts. Some do that as well.

Make sure you get all the accessories ... those tend to get pillaged for parts.

Other than that, you can get a good deal that way.
