Yeah, you treat those older fellas wearing a big brim hat, driving those big classic cars as always having the right of way. Or they will run you down and not even blink. Sort of a respect thing.
So, I picked up the 4R70W (I am 99% sure it's actually a 4R75) and h said when he dropped the pan, the lollipop was still in the pan. Doesn't anyone change their trans fluid anymore? LOL.
It was kinda funny because it has a hopped up 351 in it. After we got the AOD all set up for him (if you don't set the TV cable on those correctly, you'll burn the trans up in 10 miles) we took it for a spin. He lit it up on the freeway, and DAMN that thing moves! He has a 53 Merc with a stroked 351 (it's a 390 now, I think), and that's a real mover too. We are supposed to be doing a shift kit for that during the winter.

If I had to guess, I'd say at least 50% don't change the trans fluid. It's probably more than that.
You'll will never have any free time now white....lol
I did work on my F150 tonight though. I put new A/C schrader valves in it tonight. Ran out of daylight, or I would have evacuated and recharged it too.
I did notice on the 1 ton, while retrieving my phone after dropping it again..the AC unit or compressor looks brand new under there. Also recall the shrader caps were missing upon delivery, way back when. Just found one of the caps between the battery and tray while working on it recently. I think someone was working on the AC at one time and just gave up on it for some reason. I'll have to figure that out in the near future here. But maybe they just didn't get around to recharging it. Could I be that lucky...doubt it.
I don't know if it means anything, but I can turn the center wheel or clutch by hand easily as well. But didn't spend any time on it other than that thus far. Can sort of hear a sucking sound when I spin it too. I better finish the wiring first before starting on to that. Thought maybe if you had all the details, you might think of something.

I have actually never paid attention to sounds of the compressor while turning it by hand... I'll have to try that out.
On your vid... your Codec must be H264 for YouTube. Forgot about that requirement til you posted that pic. Does your editor change it on you? Samsung phones save in H264 by default, so I'm wondering if it's your editor changing it?
I have a converter if you need me to convert it.
