What would these mirror mounted cameras see? My Civic only shows the right lane, or curb, if I signal right.

I'd love auto-fold in mirrors, but I doubt my 01 door shape accommodates them.

I'm curious where there's enough clearance for a flush mount camera, which are only ~1" in dia. and varying depths...

I was thinking along the bottom, out toward the outer edge, facing down. There's a curve there so probably not all the way out. I did see one picture of the mirror w/o the cap (that was too far away to answer the question), so alternatively, I could install them in the void on the back of the mirror pointing straight forward (assuming that void is sufficient), but I don't trust there's any camera on the market that can withstand a direct spray of rain at 65mph, no matter what IP rating they claim.

I haven't bought cameras yet so I can't say for sure about the cable size, but they are likely to need to pass a single RCA jack. Some of them have a smaller intermediary connector so you don't have to do that, but not all.

I am going to point them forward to see the front wheels for offroading.

Me too! I am still surprised nobody makes them. That was the first mod I looked for because I have to park the truck and fold them every time I leave and return home.

Run 'em into the side of the garage. They're auto-fold if you do it right.

My Wife has a (second) job interview tomorrow.... hope she gets it. She hasn't been able to work since her heart attacks.

Might help to scrape off those glued-on caps, too!

Good hell... watch this. I won't cry about the $4.12 per gallon that I paid yesterday.

Maybe camera inside and fuse a polycarb/lexan "lens" flat on the front or bottom. (Fir two, you can hand make these.) Some mirrors nowadays might be non-glass so maybe embed into the mirror, a twist on the surface mounted mini-spot mirror.
