I was at a custom stereo shop yesterday, they told me without using a riser kit for the rear seat, the best option is to go with a single 10" in the center console. Being that there is only 5.25" between seat and floor, it isn't enough room, even the Pioneer flat sub/box is 5-7/8".

They told me they can install a 10" JL W1 in the console for around $250.

I am currently in the process of building my own. Here's a link I got my idea from. I've got about 8 inches of clearence and my 12 is 7 inches deep so I'm fabbing my own seat lift. http://www.f150online.com/forums/199...-cab-only.html

I have a q-logic box under the backseat of my supercab. Uses 2, 8" subs. Fills the passenger side section of seat. The driverside was for a single sub, but i modified the box for the amp. Works and looks great. Now, q-logic actually makes amp boxes to work with the sub boxes. They aren't cheap by any means, but no good box is. My box doesn't use a riser, just shorter bolts for the seat.

I forgot all about Q custom. I just looked at crutchfeild.com and they have a bunch. A loaded JL enclosure that goes inside the console with a 10" W3 is a bit pricey at $650, but the under seat Q custom boxes start at $80 and hold a single 8. I think I'll lean toward the MTX dual 8 for $180

Heres my single 10" mounted behind the driver seat and i love it, looks clean, f#%*kin thumps, doesnt take alot of room epecially since i have a 3 door f150 so you cant get in on the left side, and i can have a pretty big box to get those deep bass notes and still have plenty of room

Dont get 8" subs, your not gonna get the deep bass notes that you want with a sub. If your gonna mount them under the seat get shallow depth 10 or 12" subs because since theres not alot of airspace in the box for under the seat your gonna need some powerful subs to get the bass you want

it doesnt matter about size, a w7 8 will destroy a shallow 12. the magnet on the back is what produces the deep bass. im not trying to argue or start anything im just giving a correction so no one else gets mislead. now i rose my backseat 3 inches and have 2 sony xplod 1500 watt shallow 12s and underpowered they hurt my head. built 2 boxes (can get exact dimensions if you want) and ill post a pic later.

I actually wanted the seats when I bought my truck, so it's under the seats or not at all... ofcourse I could just seal the bed and make it an 8' sub box.
