Default studder stepping ford

When i give her a little gas she shakes pretty bad like shes not getting enough fuel im thinking it could be a bad fuel filter or a dirty throtle body because when i open her up more she doesnt shake and is like a perfect ride anyone have experiance with this?

well this seems real common to these trucks. my buddy is just dealing with exactly the same problem as you describe it. i've looked into this and it's most likely not your filter although it is possible. it seems to usually be idle air control valve, or the deal that regulates EGR pressure (DPFE), or a bad coil on plug.

my buddy just changed his filter and it didn't do ****. his stutters bad after the truck warms up. might be a coincidence but it happened the very next day after we installed one of those plug in heaters that go into the line to the heater core.

out of curiosity, is this not bad until after the truck is warm? that would point to IAC or DPFE.

Mine did the same thing at low rpm under load, found 1 of the coil on plugs was cracked. As long as I was on the gas it ran perfect as well

Then you will need a Haynes repair manual, it will be detailed enough to get you through it. You can also just google it, like "f150 coil on plug" I found one on YouTube entitled "how to replace an ignition coil" that uses an f150 for the demo
