Default Starting while key off.

Just walked outside and my 02 f150 was sitting there cranking.

My best guess is the freezing rain we had got, has ran down the windshield seal leak and now all in the wiring, and what not.

Anyone else had this happen? I searched a little bit, didn't find much.

Nah i don't have remote start.

IT didn't start, it was just cranking over. Once i turned the key on... IT started right up and the starter kept spinning.

Yeah, I unhooked the battery and let it sit for awhile... And then hooked it back up and same thing... It would crank a few seconds and quit... And then start cranking again.

Look at the starter, maybe something is lying across the solenoid terminals? I have seen this before on a different vehicle. It was a Chevy g1500, I put a starter in it and as soon as I hooked the battery up it started cranking. Really freaked me out. Something shorted in the solenoid I guess.

I have seen this before. Most of the time its the starter, along with the solenoid on the firewall. the starter does not recieve power until the solenoid on the firewall is triggered to engage. Also could be a bad ignition switch.
