If i was thinking i should have tried to pull the excite wire off the firewall solenoid.

In my head i'm thinking its something electrical in the dash. Supposed to the windshield resealed sometimes this week. Its been leaking water for years. Like they all do.

I would only buy that if the lights on the dash were on while it was cranking. The ignition switch would have to be shorted to the crank position, seems unlikely.

Pretty sure its the GEM module, lol....

Worked on it tonight and all the lights are flashing, radio coming on,wipers whiping...

Going to try to get one out of a salvage truck tomorrow.

If anyone knows any good links about the GEM and fuse panel removal lets me know.

Ford wanted $600. I found the same exact one I had with a little searching online. Cost me $125 with a 1 year warranty. That was around 2 yrs ago.

New GEM module,ignition switch.

Has fixed all the radio, lights, headlights flashing.

But its still trying to start on its own. As soon as i turn the key to run, it cranks like 1 second...

The excite wire to the solenoid has .4 or 4 volts going to it at all times (I can't remember the reading now.) But i got it wire up with a push button for now.

I really want to fix this right, Going to try to finish it tomorrow.
