Default Starting help

Just got dont putting a new 5.4 in my f150 went to start it.and everytime I turn the key there is a click form what looks like a solenoid bolted to the fire wall by the battery that all the main power runs threw

check your grounds on the battery and on the starter

Both grounds are good on the firewall and tranny

Starter seized? Hit it with a hammer lol or check the connections on the starter. I had the positive connector piece break. They both just made one click

The starter worked fine when I took the old motor out

Does it jjust click once then nothing? Does the selenoid get hot maybe motor locked up or binding canny manually spin the motor?
