So every so often when I start my truck it takes a few seconds like it turns over then kicks on, like 3 times since I got it when I started it it turned over then stopped and a half second later the motor kicked on, anybody know what's goin be on? It's not consistent so I have no idea what's going on

I'm not exactly sure of the situation. Can you explain it better? Doesn't make sense to me.

Ok so I'm in my truck, I turn it on, it turns over then stops, then the motor kicks on, this all happens within a couple seconds, and that only happens every once in a while, normally my motor goes "turnturnstart" but every once in a while goes "turnturnturnturn....start"

So if I understand right, the starter cuts out and the engine takes a minute before finishing the rev and starting itself?
