Default Show truck Build

Alright guys, I decided to stop clogging up the stickies and make my own thread for the build progress. I'll try to take as many pictures as possible. This is where the truck currently sits, about 90% of the way through the tear down on the front and then ready for powder. I've ordered over 700 lbs of sandblast media and 10lbs of powder of each color. I expect this project to take a few months, but nothing is getting untouched, drive shaft to driveshaft will be powdered. Show truck Build-photo17.jpg

What are you cooking the parts you're coating in? I think I've asked you before, but you know how those brain farts go....

It definitely gets the job done! Stays cool as a cucumber on the outside and I've had it to 600 degrees.

Day two, drained the front diff fluid while I had everything off, only thing that I will not take off is the tie rod ends and the upper control arms as the ball joints don't come out and I don't want to try and bake them. Those are the only two parts that will remain black. Tomorrow will start the blasting. I hope to have everything ready for powder by Friday. Also picked up two new front hubs under warranty as they don't last longer than a year or 10k miles, thank goodness for moogs 3 year warranty or I'd be in the hole at least $1,000 as this is the 4th set of front hubs in 3 yearsShow truck Build-photo97.jpg

I better never see this truck for sale. Way too much time, money and busted knuckles on her.

Truck definitely owes me some hospital bill money! I can't count the scars that are because of this truck 😂
