Our builds are pretty different, but I really respect the amount of time and thought you’ve put into it. I just had black colored oily stuff sprayed underneath my truck and called it good. I’d imagine you’d scoff at it after seeing the pics of yours underneath lol. I agree with jbrew, get a blower sittin up there on top of the motor and paint it all real nice, would definitely get you some extra points!
Thanks man! And no need to scoff, if it serves. Purpose and works than it’s doing what you wanted right? Hell before I started all this my frame was sprayed with bed liner and it was definitely tougher. I think I might do a blower one day but my goal is to have everything squared away mechanically and cosmetically before engine mods.

Sooo.... a bit off subject, but Ridgid makes a good Shop-Vac? My Shop-Vac brand vac is on it's last limb.... squeals like a pig when I turn it off.

Broke down the CV’s for the second time. Man what a messy job. seems that the knuckle side doesn’t come apart so I’ll have to clean all the grease out and see how they do in the oven. Fingers crossed 400 degrees doesn’t mess up the steel bearings.

Absolutely, like brew said these things have been through hell. I’ve sucked up anything and everything with it in the last 10+ years and it’s never skipped a single beat. Not sure how, but it has definitely earned my seal of approval. I’ve vacuumed out power steering fluid with it at-least 20 times lol.

Finished the two hardest parts in the whole batch today. The caliper brackets and the first set of powder coated CV axles I know of in existence. There’s definitely a reason nobody powdercoats CV’s, I probably have 8 hours in them alone. Show truck Build-photo338.jpg

LOL.... I've got to admit something here Black_On_White...

When I originally read the name of your thread, I thought it said "Slow"Truck Build.

This is anything BUT slow, lol.

You do fan-damn-tastic work, Buddy. It is coming along nicely.
