And there is two types of tunes as well, preloaded tunes and custom. ( like the SCT SF3 3015 which comes with three preloaded tunes and can also hold three custom tunes as well ) Preloaded tunes are designed primarily for stock to close to stock vehicles and have a good mix of performance and daily driver friendly tunes and a custom tune can be tailored to whatever you want really within limits.

The SCT tuner is HOW a tune is uploaded, how well the vehicle runs is dependant on who WRITES the tune if that makes sense.

Hit me up with any questions, glad to help regardless of where you end up getting one, I like folks to know exactly what they are getting into BEFORE spending hard earned money.
Well I have an sct Excalibur 2 sitting in my room, and I know sct is one of the most trustworthy reliable programmers to use..I jus been scared to use it, and also my concern of it doing no good because of the broken speed sensor..

If the X2 is unlocked, all you need to do is get a custom tune from place like More Power Tuning or similiar vendor and pay them to write the tune and tell em what type of custom tune you want. Wouldnt be afraid of using it, thousands and thousands of people run custom tunes with zero issues long as you use a good tune writer since the X2 is custom tune only.

Ask about the broken speed sensor first though as I honestly don't know how/if that would affect it much.

If you do use MPT, use my last name of Franchi as a coupon code on their website and knocks $5 off cost of the custom tune. Not a ton but hey, every little bit helps right?

Well, I decided to go for it. I bought one paid 340 for a new one. To me that's worth easier shifting and a few more ponys. Especially with my new transmission. Thanks for the feedback guys I appreciate it

So I am looking at a model 3015 that a guy was using on his mustang he says it's unlocked and has 5 more locks available is that a good one to buy he wants 150 I might try to knock it down a bit since I'll have to pay to get my trucks "stock" tunes thrown into it his stang was 5.4 s/c 2011 so I figured it needs different ones I can do that right ?

Just bought one from Franchi. Had one on my old Mustang and liked the difference, so I finally decided to get another one. Especially with the price with the "group buy" for a new one.

Lonestar, you better jump on that deal for that used one!
