Mine does the same thing ONLY when Im in te gauge mode an stuff, recently my gauges quit working and I have no idea why but i will be keeping this for sure. I think its just model of truck? Possibly. But don't worry about it to much it won't hurt your truck. Mines fine.

Because the truck can increase timing a little on its own and can't do it right if you increase the timing yourself.

Did you mean to ask why cant you look up the timing? And Im updating mine on the laptop right now so we'll see if it fixes any of my problems.

With our trucks you probably cant do that right now, they may throw in a update allowing us to but really being able to tell it you have a CAI won't do anything for your truck. I just got home from toying with mine and driving around, everything is working smoothly now. My rpms aren't jumping and my service engine and oil aren't coming on now when Im in the gauge display driving. Its totally fixed with the new updates, my advice to you. Go to Sctflash.com and look on the main page towards the left and you'll find updates or device updates, click it. Choose Livewire TS, and read that entire page until you find out how to install the updates. To install, first you need the sct folder to be downloaded on your computer, if you read carefully you can figure out how to install it from the Livewire page and then its basically just a breeze from there. Be sure and hook up your Livewire to the computer with a usb cord provided to you when you bought it.

you can not increase timing with the TS. With custom tunes you will be able to. I have custom tunes from mpt and currently running a 2 deg adv.
