To see if it's the coil (or the plug), simply unplug the coil connector when the engine is running. If the engine continues to run rough and doesn't change, that coil is your problem. If it starts running worse when you unplug it, it's not that cylinder.

there are 8 coils right? so if i have a cylinder 5 misfire i should replace the cylinder 5 coil pack? what do i need to ask for at the parts store? does anyone have a picture of what the pack looks like/located at and how to replace in detail? thanks

Here is one for sale on Ebay. It will take a couple of days to receive it but it is motorcraft quality and a good price.

I ordered one last night will be here Friday. From the looks I have to remove a bracket then it should just pop off like a spark plug wire and unplug from the wire connection?
