Default Rough Idling

my truck has been idling pretty rough lately. i will be sitting at the stoplight and it just starts shakin like a mother....... any suggestions on what to do, maybe some of that seafoam stuff. im kind of hesitant to use that though because i dont know if it will ultimately cause any damage to my engine.

Sounds like your IAC [idle air controller] is dirty or going out. You can try to clean it but will probably end up replacing it.

yeah it might be what he was telling you I know anytime mine has done that it was because one of my cylanders was misfiring and I just had to replace the COP, which is also an easy fix...but you can take it to autozone and have them hook the computer up and usually will tell you

Experience and passion!
I had my own repair business in the late 90s early 00s and my largest customer had 10 F150s [98s-02s]. These trucks were abused from one end to the other and with a five year relationship I learned alot. That's experience.
I have restored many mustangs and other Fords all my adult life and when the Ford Lightning came out in 99 they really got my attention. Also I'm very interested in OBD II. That's passion.
Remember you have 2 ears, 2 eyes, and 1 mouth. Listen and watch more than you talk. Respect the older guys in the shop you work in and learn from them.
More important than all this, I'm not always correct but am interested
