Default replacing door lights?

So I am changing out the interior lights to LED in my 04 heritage as stock lights seem really dim. I assume there are lights in door and these are not just reflectors? there was a slot and I tried prying to remove lens but I felt resistance and didn't want to break 15 year old plastic. Is there a trick and are there lights behind it?
thanks

I doubt there's lights back there. I've seen other years that have white/ clear lenses that have a light but the red ones are just reflectors. Pull the door side off and check from the inside for wires if you're really curious.

If I'm correct, most of the scabs (rear doors ) are reflectors. The Screws (rear doors) are lights.

In any case, on the left side of the picture there's an indentation on the left corner, thats where I pried mine from and the red cap popped off. Just be careful, old plastic and all.

Thanks guys. I will investigate more. The plastic seems like it is two piece and when I tried to pry last night seemed like it would snap in middle.

That is correct, only the white actually had bulbs.

Thanks white89gt, that is what I thought. I ordered the Phillips 578 and 912 Led bulbs for cab and thinking I would like to install bulbs in the footwell. I did a brief look last night and did not see any or find any on interior lighting parts list. just need to figure out where to splice in. Probably where the map light wires come down from the roof. The newer trucks have great interior lighting.

I swapped my door lights along with the dome & map lights to LED's in my '97 Scab. Made a world of difference.
BTW mdb007 looking at your pic of your reflector, maybe my eyes are going bad but it sure looks like a
vacant hole in the door panel behind that reflector.

I would be interested to know if it is pre-wired.

If it's a heritage, it just may be.

I dumped the bulbs from the door panels and put in flat LED Cobb lights. Talk about light. Changes the whole inside at night. I used similar to these. The price is very right. I did the center dome light with those also. The Light is Bright.
