There is a hole there, but no socket or wiring in the door. You would need to run wiring from some other source into the door, find a socket to put in it (it is the same as what is in the front door) for it to work. I know I have seen some here do it in the past.
For me, not worth it since my back doors are rarely opened any more.

Yeah my 1 suicide door rarely gets open also and of course it doesn't have a door light either.

Yes there is a hole in there wondering why they didn't wire the front doors? So here is pic with the phillips 578 map light. And is there a trick to putting the 912 bulbs in there? They are tucked up inside. Going to my father-inlaws this weekend he might have idea how I can wire up lights under dash, he has built a few cars in his time.

Right front door with opening for light.

With jus 578 led map light on

With 578 LED and 912 Incandescents.

Trick to getting to 912 bulb under bottom of pic where the two humps are?

Under the sticky, check out cheap, easy fun mods. 43 pages of stuff (including the interior light led replacements) you'll love.

Yours is similar to mine in the fact you have to drop the 3 screws to access the other 2 bulbs. They install from the top.
The silver headed screw is your ground.

Blame the accountants. Nobody rioted over the 11th Gens not having them or an underhood light (or a cabin air filter, for that matter), so it was a job well done as far as they were concerned.

Another thing, look to see if on your 912's there's a small red dot on one side. If your installing LED's you know they are polarity
sensitive. Red dot to the power side of the socket. I had to remove mine a few times to change the bulbs around because I didn't look for that. Doors are not so much a
PITA but the dome light map lights can be.

Default Love these Led's

So bought a pack of 4 of these Marsauto 800 Lumen on Amazon for $12 and what a difference in cab! Going to return that pansy Phillips bulb what an overpriced joke. Will be great to see at night now if I have to flip the map light on to strap grandson in his seat..

With just the single door light on

With all 3 bulbs on.

3 bulbs Lights up dash

and from front
