Replacing c.o.p's
Has anyone had a dealer replace thier plugs and cops? If so, could ya fill me in on how much they charged? I've got a herniated disk in my neck and have lots of pain and numbness in my fingers. I could do it if I get feeling better, but thought today I might take in in next week to get a quote. I ran a obdII test and have 3 that are bad, tester said B,E and G, I hope that eqates to equal the numbers...2,5 and 7.

My dealership hinted around $1100+ to get all 8 replaced at once whne one of mine wnt bad. I just had the one bad one replaced this time, in hopes of getting a new one soon. If I don't get a new one, then the rest will be replaced. I am pushing 140,000 miles.

Wow, $1100 bucks? sheesh, guess i'll just push past the pain and hope the fingers work. I've got 183k on my truck, so I guess its about time to replace everything, bought it 2 weeks ago (used). The dealer I bought it from showed me the obdII when I bought it, showed only one of them going bad, he turned off the key, disconnected it, turned key on, then off, cleared the codes, then reconnected and turned the key back on, the ses light dissappeard and didn't reappear till day before yesterday when it got down to 23degrees. I'll try his reset procedure when I borrow the code reader from my bud next week, truck still runs ok, just a little rough when its below freezing.

Yeah, I know....just delays the inevitable, i'll either fess up the dealer costs or pick a three day weekend to make sure i've got enough time. Resetting by disconnecting the battery is such a pain, lol, i'd have to reset all my channels on my stereo!
