Just google global automotive and you will get a link to their site.

Thanks i'll be doing that, went to the dealer to ask about replacement of the c.o.p's. They want $92.50 per cop, and $98 bucks apiece to replace, and he told me they useually don't both go bad at the same time? both?, won't be doin' any service with them. Guess i'll be reading replacement procedures in the chiltons I bought.

drboom, I cannot believe it! I can answer a question!! It stands for coil over plug. I just learned this not too long ago. It seems that Ford made a coil for each plug! No more just one coil for all plugs, I think... someone else will chime in I hope. Ever since I got my F150, I have been worried about this COP stuff!!

I'm new to these engines, but why would one replace all of the cop's due to one of them being bad? Is it do to the fact that the others will fail soon or is it believed that a new one makes a hotter spark?

One new cop from Dealer or parts store costs more than 8 new ones on ebay. Kind of a no brainer price wise.

And an FYI on coils for the Tritons. All 5.4 engine use COPS. 1997-99 4.6 engines use coil packs. 2000+ 4.6 engines use COPS.

Buy motorcraft plugs and use those. get the cops off ebay. if all the cops aren't bad, don't replace them, just replace the bad ones and save the extra new ones for when another one goes out. no need to change it if it aint broke. Dont have the dealer do it, thats just a ridiculous amount of money. Have a buddy or local mechanic do it for much cheaper. or wait til you feel a little better. I work at a dealership and they wanted to charge me $90 for labor just to change the plugs, that wasn't including the price of the plugs. I get labor for $30/hr, instead of $74/hr, but I still wasn't paying that much. had a buddy change my plugs and fuelfilter for $65.
