when i orderd the glass they sent me just the glass... the glass that is on the truck now has a trim that goes around it. i just watched a video of a guy just knocking all the old glass of and sticking new one on witch seems about right but i have to figure how to get this trim off?

It should be a whole piece that pops in place after you pop the old one out..

It's not really worth replacing the glass. Next time look for the Dorman replacement mirrors they're only like $35 for heated and power. I believe I got mine off Amazon.

It takes a scary amount of pressure to pop them out. You will think it's going to break before it does but as long as you have even pressure on both sides it'll come out. Oddly they pop in pretty easy. You'll be fine with what you've got, I just hate doing the glass when whole mirrors are cheap. The problem with it that I forgot is that they only come in black and chrome. My truck is black so it was no big deal, you would have to pop out the colored piece and swap it over, which is just as scary as changing the glass or PTM the new one which is expensive. So it's not as easy as I made it sound unless your mirrors are black or chrome now.

Yeah I remembered after posting that it was simple for me seeing as mine was black to begin with but one a different color is a pain. Yeah just be careful and pry evenly and it'll pop out. I've only done a couple but it's a horrible feeling thinking it's going to shatter then all of a sudden it pops out and you think it broke but it doesn't haha.
