Default Quick Zone lift question

I noticed when I was working on my truck the u bolts have worked themselves somewhat loose, in the future I'm putting a zone 6" on it and need to know the rear block height. If its 5.5ish like I currently have, I'll keep my blocks and use permanent loctite, if not I'd prefer to use vibratite or something similar so I don't have to cut the bolts.

Figure I might as well do it now because I'm going to get too excited when its back up and going and completely forget about them!

it's less than that. I think it's like 4" and AAL. I'd have to check mine when I get off work:

The aal is what throws me off lol. I've had to cut u bolts off before and its not fun, so I'm making sure I avoid it in the future!

Actually... now that I think about it even if it is only 4" my 5.5s are perfect. I'm keeping it slightly low in the front but cranking the t bars a bit, if I had actually gone to sleep I probably would have realized that and not asked lmao.

Red loctite it is!

I cut the ends off mine just because it was a little cleaner and easier

How long have you had the U-bolts? I remember when I did my 5" Rough Country lift, the U-bolts kept stretching on me. This went on for about 3 months before I bought new, thicker U-bolts that solved the issue.

They had maybe 6k on them before the truck blew up. I put brand new skyjacker blocks and bolts in it. I retightened twice while it was running and never put locker on them

U-bolts are supposed to stretch a little bit, I had to re-tighten my new ones twice and after that they stayed at the 120 ft lbs I put them at.

Get the Loctite online, they don't sell the good stuff locally. The stuff you get in local stores is only for smaller fine threads or very small coarse and it's made by Permatex.

You want the stuff made by Henkle, Henkle is Loctite. Look for Loctite Quickstix Blue or Red on line. Very easy to use, no mess or waiting time and it's fricken great stuff.

Don't want that axle falling off again.

I used to sell a ton of the stuff, they still hook me up with employee discounts so I can get it locally lol.
