I had 04-08 tailgate emblems on the fenders of my 03. I had to cut the pins off and had no issues with them sagging.

You know you could buy back your old truck anytime. It's for sell at least once a year. LOL! I believe it's still in the Jacksonville area.

Thank you. Where I live it gets 100+ often in the summer and I think anything held on with strictly adhesive (even 3m auto) sags in the summer heat and sun. Maybe I could cut the locators off and somehow fix them back onto them in the right place lol. Also I think the 09 badges have less surface area to apply the 3m tape than the one you have.

I know right, I kept in touch with the person who bought it from me he sold it to another guy that I have chatted with a couple times.

When I win the lotto The first thing I will do is buy it back and built it to the extreme.

I live in New Orleans and the current owner of the truck is in FL. They been on there for 10+ years and no sagging. Just a FYI, Chevys don't have alignment pins at all, willing to bet you don't see those riding around with sagging emblems. Your over thinking it, just go for it!!
