My 07 doesnt have one, but I upgraded to a Fumoto drain valve. I highly recommend this if you change your own oil.

If it is not leaking, then your good.

I just put a Fumoto on mine last oil change. My threads are a little iffy and every time I took it out I worried about stripping it.
Now I am not worried about it.

Factory has the rubber built into washer.

Mine was cross threaded when got truck. Ended up putting in oversize. I slotted end of it with dremel so it was more self tapping with aluminum washer. Used that without issue for 150,000 miles, probably 30 oil changes or so.

I agree, what is it with those last few threads? I have the Fumoto on my truck and Expedition, I wonder why I waited so long to add them.

Good mornin' all. Im getting 2 off brands of Fumoto valve when I do my truck filter at Amazon but get this
Amazon.com: Fumoto F-107N Engine Oil Drain Valve: Automotive Amazon.com: Fumoto F-107N Engine Oil Drain Valve: Automotive
when I use Google.

Is this the right part number for the '01 5.4?

Thanks in advance. Ive been wrenching my own vehicles for 20 years and never heard of Fumoto. I love this place!

Is it worth it to buy the Fumoto brand or does anybody trust these? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sx_as?ke...-----------4-1

How much stick-out is there, inch or inch and a half ? Any chance with one getting torn off ? That's the main concern. Sometimes you can't miss those old retread chunks laying in the road on the e-way.

I believe it's the F106 that fits our trucks.
