Most all of them do. [Your tire speed ratings had better be suitably capable. As does yer braking system And beware of driveline harmonics. All of those and other nannyisms needed to be stated, lol.]

However, not all of them are any good.

This one, from these folks, is:

Its not wise to remove the speed limiter anyways. These trucks were never designed for the speeds anyways. All you doing is accelerating the wear and tear on the vehicle.

When I get called on a fire call I have 5.6 miles to get to fire hall to get trucks and gear. My old diesel was much faster.

What is the speed design point ifor these trucks ?

Don't cop out by giving us the speed limiter MPH or tire rating.

Just read this post from Joe (#35 in that thread) - specifically, Driveline Critical Speed

I have removed mine. and the truck got very unsettling around the 110 mark. The amount of suspension travel and lack of dampening in the suspension makes it want to float. Which at high speeds is very unsafe and unstable. As the wrong bump can cause the rear to lift and spin the truck out. I dont go over 85-90 in mine.
