Well they declined me today. Said 3k is way to much for a 18 year old and i need a cosigner but my family won't do it. So I'm still stuck..

 

Get stupid credit cards and use them. Then pay it off. When I turned 18 I had a Kay Jewelers card. American Eagle card and a peerless tire card. (I never shop at any of those places anymore) Maxed them all out(total of around 2k). Payed double the minimum payment each month. Payed them off in no time. Couple months after paying them off. Went and bought a motorcycle. $6500 with no down payment and no Co-signer. I got a higher interest rate (7%) but I was still able to get it.

 

I've had a capitol one for 6 months now and I do that, guess I'll get more cards so I can build it faster

 

Don't get two many cards though. Opening a lot can supposedly hurt your credit.

 

Ok, does the limit matter? I have 200$ limit now but on the 23rd (sixth month mark) they said I can pay 50$ deposit and they'll ad another 100$ to the limit. Would a higher limit show the bank I can handle it?

 

Never heard of a deposit to up your limit. My Kay's card had a $500 limit when I got it. Now it's at $2500 lol. They upped it for me just making payments on time I guess

 

Hmm I'll have to fill out an app there. See if I can something better. I never heard of deposits either but when I first applied they also wanted a 50$ deposit to open/give me 200$ limit. It's difficult to build credit haha

 

Hey I found a nice truck. Only problem is he said it needs a generic electronic module for the 4x4. It doesn't work. Is it worth buying it? How much would the module cost about. I tried lookin it up but don't really know what I'm lookin for. Thanks
