I think its gonna come down to your gut and personal preference man, not sure if you're lookin for a 2wd or 4wd, but if it were me, i would go with the 140k one. Does the guy have all of the service records from when he took it to the dealer? With either one, all you can do is check the fluids and see what they look like, crawl up under there and see if its got any engine/transmission/rear end leaks, and since you're in Florida, i'd check REAL good for rust! past that, i think i might try to get him down a little, maybe to 6250 or even 6k, not sure what the KBB says its worth, but 6500 is a little steep to me! (maybe im just cheap?) Good luck man, welcome to the forum!

I would prefer 4wd since I like having piece of mind that while I'm out kidding I won't get stuck as easily haha, I do like the 3k price tho but the mileage is steep. I didnt ask if he has the records but i will. Ill do like u said and get the kbb value and if there's stuff wrong I'll knock it down a bit. Or try. Thanks for the advise man.

I'm gonna go test drive them tmrw but which one would be better? The one with 200k is mostly highway miles and has been maintained at mullinax ford since purchase and this is original owner. Other one is also by original owner but they did the service themselves which is good still. Should I look for something that tends to wear out faster or any other kind of advice thanks!
I bought a 1998 Ford F250 xtra cab 5.4 v8 2WD Light Duty with 96K for about $6,250 (pre tax) in Pensacola area. I'd go for the lowest mileage but that's just me...

I'd go with the 2wd an everyone with high mileage says highway mileage I bought my 2003 f150 XLT 4x4 for $5500 with 63,582 miles 4 months ago and I just hit 100,000 last week the miles tack on fast and I do 60+ miles a day just to work not counting weekends and whatever else might come my way I would go with the 2wd by definitely keep looking there out there

Ya I found out that the 3k $ one was used for towing pallets of sod. I used to work as a sod field and those are heavy. The more I learn about both of these the more I'm ehh not so happy with them haha. I don't really wanna settle so I think I may take ur advise and just keep looking around

Woohoo!!! That was such a nice truck! She Told me it had 140k miles but it only has 96k this truck has been taken care of so nicely mechanically. The interior is a little rusty but some seat covers will make it nice. They installed a power strip down by the bottom of the dash. Runs and drives nicely. But wont go down on the price and won't do monthly payments. So I'm in a rut. I have half and she won't work with me. Hmm what to do...

Try to take out a loan for the price she is asking plus the cost to put it on the road and just throw down whatever you have saved now for your first payment

I did. They said cuz I'm 18 with little credit thats to much. I get paid Tuesday and that paycheck will be about enough to put it on the road so I'm gonna try another credit union for 3500 so it'll be lower and they should be more apt to do it.. Hopefully.

I was in your same boat. When I got my truck I was 19 and only had a part time job due to going to school full time. The only place I found that I could get a loan at is the small car dealerships that do their own financing. No bank will give you a loan without credit history or high monthly income.. But, with that being said, a credit union is probably your most likely place to just say **** it and give it to you anyways.
