Default Power Window Problems

I have a 2001 F150 XLT that the driver side window will not go up or down. I can still control the passenger side window with no problems. All i hear is a clicking noise from the fuse/relay compartment.

Has anyone experienced this before??
Any Suggestions??

thanks for all the help!!!

Default Never experienced it but.....

I believe their is a motor control in each door sounds like one may have went out but you might check the relay first to be sure!

ok I am 90% sure its not the switch and must be the motor. I tried using a multimeter but i am retarded when it comes to electrical stuff and not sure if i had it on the right setting.... if i replace the motor do i have to replace the regulator as well or can i just pop off the motor and put a new one on???

If you press the switch and see the dome light dim, the motor is the problem. If that's the case, you can usually get it to move temporarily by holding the switch and banging the bottom fo the door with a rubber mallet. That loosens the brushes and they run for a little while.

I have a 2004 had same problem with driver and all other windows...
some only go up some only go down but from driver side i can control all windows...
I open the switch is fairly easy... I cleaned the contact with shape blade or a sand paper to get them shinny again and now all goes well... if this problem happens again im going to put some solder to stop the contact for turning black when spraked on contact... the dealer wanted 117 for main power switch for driver door so it was worthed to take it apart to save 100$

Can you hear the motor run in the door when you hit the switch? I don't know about the f150s but on my explorer(same year as my f150) I could hear the back door motors running but the window would not move. Turned out the cable that the motor controlled came apart, had to replace the whole regulator.

No motor wasnt running either the window goes down or up only some didnt do anything but all could still be control from the main control switch...
I cleaned the contact inside the switch with a blade to make it shinny again and now it works the switch is easy to open will make a post to open them soon...
