Default power window problems

I have a 2001 5.4 4wd supercrew xlt, the window on the driver's side front door came off the track a few weeks ago. And I was debating on trying to use some sort of windshield urethane to hold it in place, but I can't locate a bottle small enough to justify buying for that one window. So I started trying to look for the part number of the little rubber "groove" at the top of the actuator, and with no luck can I find anything. Can anyone tell me the proper name or part number for this piece?

I'm not 100% sure of what you are asking for. Here is a picture of the actuator with motor. Can you point out where you are trying to find this part.

It's where the window (the glass) is attached to the actuator it's self like where they meet. I'm not sure how to discribe it. When this happened I took it apart at a fueling station at 4:30 am lol. It appeared as a rubber type v notch that the glass just sat down in to hold it. If that makes since

Those clips are part of the glass itself. You can epoxy the clips back onto the window. Cure and then attach to the regulator. I have always taken the side glass out to epoxy. The window should have witness marks from where they were glued before. You might be able to do it in the truck. Can't remember how much access there is.

What TRD says then. You will have to use a very good epoxy for glass or if you have MarineTEX around, it works super. I'm like TRD, I don't know if you can do it correctly sitting inside the door, but it can be reglued easily out of the shell. Good luck.

There isn't much access I don't think. I was hoping for something simple thanks guys!! But just any epoxy made for glass will work?

While your in there (nothings fun inside the door) check your slides, make sure they are in good shape. That can put a ton of stress on other components. When those get bad enough, the window can jam, usually 1/2 up and down.
The best Epoxy I've seen to date is body panel epoxy, but yea, you need something made just for what your doing.

Oh yes sir, for any kind of body work panel bond is the best! I've worked in a few body shops, and that stuff is great I just wasnt sure for glass. Honestly I've never had this happen on any vehicle lol. This is my first with power windows. Had it been a crank window I could have caught it and it wouldn't have fell

This is what I ended up getting. It was the best thing I could find at my local auto parts stores. I hope it works well, seeings how is was 15 dollars almost for a .85 oz bottle. I have the weekend off so I will report back on how it does and also take some pictures of the process and stuff
