Default Power point electrical interference

When I plug my phone charger into the power point, and the aux cord from the phone into the radio to hear my gps, I get a loud electrical interference that can be heard through the speakers. If I use the power windows you can hear the motors in the speakers. This has been going on since Summer. I blamed it on the charger. If you wiggle it you get major interference. But I just tried a different charger and the problem is still there.

I'm also having an issue with my odometer spinning around like a slot machine sometimes. Do these share a ground maybe. Do the power point sockets go bad.

You guys got any ideas. Thanks.

Look into a ground loop isolator. That should take care of that interference.

Did you hook the little black filters back to engine ground when you put your motor back together?

This has been going on way before I did the motor.

But I sure don't remember any little black filters anywhere. Where would they be?

They bolt to a stud hanging out of the timing cover, and the other end connects to the ignition harness. It's technical name is "radio suppressor".

Thought you had it. Still might. Do they just go bad?

I thought maybe this issue started when I did my timing chains over the summer. But it was before then even. Here's my original post on it.

Kinda hard to see in this pic. But is this what you're talking about?

Yes, that's it. Hmmm.... I'm puzzled now. I don't think you mentioned.... what are you running for a stereo?

After market stereo. But I put that in when I first got the truck and had no electrical issues then. This grimal has been there long before I did anything to the truck.

Can those isolators be tested?
