Thumbs up Hard shifting on 2011 F-150 6R80 Fixed

Folks this week at 122,00 miles and too many stops at the dealership, I finally got my transmission fixed. i bought the truck at 21K miles as a certified vehicle. At about 30K miles I got the first slam shift that scared me to death. I had no idea what had happened. I thought I had been hit. yda yada yada. like hundreds of other entries on here.
I finally got a Lincoln service manager to talk with me along with a Master Ford Transmission tech. We did the latest program update and replaced the Lead frame.
That didn't fix the issue. Yesterday I picked up the truck after we replaced the valve body. Truck fixed after almost 90 K miles of frustration and anger. My truck shifts perfectly for the last two days. I feel like the valve body has been bad for almost 90K miles but no one could diagnose the problem.

Hope it helps.

Great information. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be useful to very many in this forum.... it is the 97-03 section. I would definitely reflect your experience over in the section for 2011's though.

Can a valve body go bad????

Maybe a sticking ball, accumulator, broken spring, bad gasket

Seems like a tranny shop might have been able to do cheaper fix
