Poor acceleration and throws code
I am having a couple of issues that I think are related. When I accelerate in overdrive, from about 45 mph, it feels like someone rear ends my truck. Also while accelerating to get on a freeway, I will sometimes get a service engine light in and the truck runs rough. Then after 1/2 a mile the light shuts off and it’s running smooth again. Anyone else?
It could be a hundred things. You need to put a OBD II reader on that truck and see what the codes are that are set. You will have some, since the CEL came on and went off. It's most likely a cylinder misfire (plug, coil, or wire) but without seeing the codes, you'd just be throwing money away, replacing parts.

Okay so here is some history on the truck, kept getting a p0352 code a while back and it ended up being the computer. I replaced coil, coil connector, all plugs, tested with a noid light nothing worked. Anyway sent in the computer and had a bad driver for the #2 cylinder. Replaced the computer and it has been running great. Now all of the sudden these issues. The code I am getting again is P0352 when the CEL comes on. Now what?
Yea, you need a 6v noid to test ground signal from the driver in order to get a weak blinker for coils. In case your unaware. A low volt test light works best, but a good cheap noid usually works as well, yea good an cheap lol.

P0352 could be #2 coil problems or wiring.
P0352---If an open or a short is detected in the driver circuit for coil number 2, a P0352 may set. Also, depending on the vehicle, the PCM may also shut down the fuel injector to the cylinder also.

What about the issue of jerking or lunging when accelerating in fourth gear?
So what truck are you talking about ? If it has coil packs, those are tested and also work differently. Since it doesn't look like you know your ignition system too well, just post the your model year and engine. That way we will know whether you have coils or coil packs.

I have a 2001 f159 supercrew 5.4 4x4. It does have coil packs. Runs great just driving it around town. And on the freeway unless I am under hard acceleration or I try to accelerate gradually when it’s in fourth gear. That’s when the above mentioned issues happen.

Now it won't be so confusing for yuh, and us lol.
My bad. I thought those were called coil packs. They are just coils then? Black boot that snaps on the plug through the intake and has a connector snapped on to it.
