not true, I've taken my truck through dusty roads when i hunt and had my truck covered but my intake was clean, its not as "open air" as you guys think, the box seals to the hood....

OK, Black on White, if your intake seals to the hood, where does the air come from to feed the engine?

If I went to ND duck hunting and drove for miles on those dusty gravel roads, I would expect my filter to be dirty when I got back home. If it wasn't dirty, it wasn't doing it's job.

It's obvious that you're going to defend your CAI system til the cows come home. That's fine. This is a forum where everyone has an opinion.

How about those WI Badgers!

around the hole left by stock intake bud the fender well, or a magic ram air scoop I'm not aware of. Either way, facts are facts and the facts on the issue of IAT is they're the same as stock. For this generation vehicle.

Like I said I just played it safe but I have an interesting thought the heat shield only blocks heat from the engine what about the hot coolant resivoir in front of the filter any ideas on how to block that off
