I have a huge issue! I covered my intake with a plastic bag while doing a coolant flush. When I went to start my truck after to look for leaks I forgot to take the bag off and it sucked it. What is the worst thing that could have happened? How can I get it out?

I doubt you ruined your motor if its just a small amount, then your motor probably just burned it off. Worst case scenario you may have damaged your maf sensor or maybe foul a plug but i doubt it, especially if the trucks running fine and not throwing any codes.

For safe measure clean your maf and iac sensors on the intake.

Bet you felt smart lol. But shouldn't do a whole lot of damage depending on where you had the bag ie: over the throttle body with no intake tubes eek.

If it was a whole bag over the end of the tube after the filter its probably still in the air intake tube before the trottle body. If it was a small piece of plastic it is most likely already burned up in the motor and most likely will not be an issue. I would pull the intake off the throttle body and look for it and if its gone then don't worry about it, worst case senario it plugs an intake runner and you need to pull the Plenum to get it out. I had a good laugh when I read the post but hey we all have our moments. at least it wasn't a rag, that would be an issue for sure!

Yeah I felt real smart after that! The truck is still running but it's kinda rough and it just threw the engine light so ill pull them
Tomorrow. It happened at school and my instructor told me that because it was such a small amount it should just burn up so hopefully it does. I'm guessing that it stuck to a plug. So I will pull them tomorrow and check it out. Now it sounds like something is whistling though when I get to the high side of rpms before shifts. And it has been rough idling and stalling when shifting from park to reverse or drive.

It's probably stuck in the intake then. You'll probably have to pull it and get it out.
