Certainly could be. Ya tmrw when we get some rain go look under that dash for moisture. I assume the blower has stopped now as well?

Yep, everything is working like it should ...time will tell though.

Overall its not very difficult to pull that stuff apart, the first time sucked major *** but now that ive done it once I think I could do it in 15 minutes.

You have any idea on replacing the GEM. I was reading that if you replace it then you have to reprogram the new one to your specific truck, but ive read other sources claiming they just simply installed the new one and it worked fine.

Thanks by the way, you've been a big help!

No problem. Im not sure on that.

The dealer can reprogram any of them, but not sure on the cost. Otherwise I believe that if you get one from a truck with the same options as yours it will work. Don't quote me on that, might need to make a call into Superior Brookdale Ford or whatever other one is down there.

North Country Luther Ford in Coon Rapids... might give the head mechanic a call tomorrow and see what he thinks.

UPDATE

Finally found the problem. Turns out the windshield is leaking. I left the dash and interior trim torn apart for a couple weeks to make sure. Its leaking on the drivers side and making its way inside pooling up underneath the interior door/pillar trim, then making its way through the dashboard and dripping right on the GEM and Fusebox. Gonna get the windshield resealed this weekend, im gonna assume the GEM(generic electronic module) is fine since the problems have stopped.

Huge thanks to Tackle for helping a MF'er out. I talked to the head mechanic at my ford dealer and even brought my truck to show him the symptoms and he couldn 't figure it out. He wanted to play the "trial and error" game with hundreds of my dollars. Mechanics these days ...seems like when the vehicle isn't throwing a code they are absolutely clueless.

This is why I love this site, Thanks again Tackle.
