Hey well I am installing a console from an 01 into my 98 XL, would you happen to have a wiring diagram of the overhead console??? I have already installed the sensor behind the grill, but now need to know where all the wires go.... thx

Went out and did the overhead console as per the link write-up and it now works! I used a jewelers headset (cause i'm over 50 with sight challenges LOL) and seen a couple of broken solder joints on the same square resistors that were pointed out. Re-connected it and now it works. My thanks goes out to the person responsible for the post!
Of course my solder connections were'nt pretty and one of the square resistors was broken loose on both sides causing to slide off the connections, but I held it in place with a pointy thing and re-soldered both sides.

You wouldnt happen to have a sunroof would you? Im still hesitant to do this because I dont want to ruin it just yanking it down.

LOL no, im still trying to figure it out myself... Once I figure out how to get the thing off without breaking it ill fix it. I assume its the same problem. I just dont want to break the trim.

The "console" for the reading lights, moon roof switch and display just pops off and then you disconnect the harness and it comes down, at least mine did when I got bored at a stop light. I can take a picture tomorrow if you'd like, its damn cold out there.

ok thats what I thought, but didnt want to just yank it and break it. ill pull it off tomorrow and fix it hopefully.

Yeah if I remember right its just held in with the clips like on the door panels.
