Check out addictive desert designs dot com for cool stuff, little pricy but cool stuff for the off road look, perty much bullet proof ford tough. Future ideas come easily with visual conceptions to jump over while napping. Go the step further and add the rack for spare behind the rear window down to the box, looks really sharp from the side if you tire of the topper. You can also add rear facen lights so you can Mater in reverse a lot with extendo mirrors and trailers and such.

Finished painting it almost and threw 2 back up lights on it and set it up there just to see how it looks so far and not too bad.... Still need to add an axe and shovel to the sides and lights up front

looks sweet man, i want to build one to mount on my cab, except i want to use round tubing on mine.
i actually drew up plans to build one out of conduit, its easy to bend, cheap, and if you brace it up right its strong too. thats what we build deer stands out of at school

How did you mount it bolt or lock in bolts or what?

If you plan long and maybe heavy, tube bend inside your canopy and mount them to your side rails and fasten them to your Safari with rubber grommets to seal and vibration isolate. Supports weight and very strong if you go off road. You won't loose it. Electrical aluminum conduit bends and flattens to bolt to box. 2 or 3 would do the trick if you are going with several hundred lbs up there. You can even make em 2 piece and simply converge in the middle. Don't have to design it to hold up 1000 lbs.
