No power to code port
Hi all,
My service engine light popped on about a week ago, and I drove it over to AutoZone to have the code pulled. When they plugged in the reader, they found the reader port wasn't providing power to the reader. The employee's first suggestion was that the circuit's fuse was blown, but he said it would be on the same circuit as the power point, which had power. He also said he had used the reader earlier in the day and did not think it could be broken.
Any suggestions as to how to get power to the reader port? Does anyone think he may have misdiagnosed the problem?
Thanks for the help!

Download the manual here.

Is there something in the manual I'm not thinking of that could help? I checked the section on the Service Engine Soon light but didn't see anything helpful.

Go to another place and have it read. I am pretty sure my Autel would still read it. Try a Jiffy Lube, O'Reilly....
Also, I'd check for power with a meter before you go any further. Autozone started using cheap readers here because they kept leaving them in cars.
