So i've been huvering around this forum a bit and posted a couple topics about some troubles i had with my truck. I got this last summer and she's been an awesome ride and i think its time to do some modding and make her look real nice



I have been looking around for a new grille but i don't really know what would look best, im putting in Hella's behind the grille soon and new heads (Probley smoked lightening style) I need the whole assembly the housing on mine is broken. Tree jumped in my way while i was backing up... im removing all the crome on the rockers and either gonna leave in, or Herculiner them. Im defiantly doing the front and rear bumpers and Paint the rims black because im to cheap to afford a new pair ATM. Just wanted to know what you guys think and would look best.

Get a color matched grill, with the black insert, and black everything out, it will look great.

 

Me personally I hate chrome so I kept my factory grill plus I think they look better anyways. If you want to check the lights I have installed em on my truck. check it out....

 

I didn't know if i should go with color match grille or all black. Yeah i hate crome too haha, when i purchased the truck it was like this so i thouht its time to personalize it. What would be a good insert though? i want to be able to see the hellas behind it pretty good but i really hate the bars i got now.

 

If your going to replace it id would take it off and spray it black first just to see what it would look like. never know it might just stand out a little more and look better than what you think. If you dont like it no biggie just buy a new billet one. there on ebay really cheap. if your going to spray it make sure you sand it down with at lease 320 to get any scuffs or marks out. dont go to deep and finish with 600.

 

Ok, ye i think it might look like to much black if it was, but'll try. It's kinda hard though cause its in a couple pieces haha
