Default New Emblems

Got tired of looking at the old flat boring emblems on my truck, so I decided to upgrade.

Also did the rear... and found out a kinda expensive lesson. Don't get the latest and greatest emblem... it wont lay flush, nor will it let the tailgate lay flat.
So I ordered one from the previous model year. Works great.

EDIT: the second pic is the one that I have now. The third is the one that didn't work.

I got the 2 fender emblems for $26 (used)
The first tailgate emblem I got for $25 (new) Mistake
The one that actually worked for the rear cost me $32 (new)

Just went on eBay and searched until I found what I wanted.

You have to get the tailgate emblem off a flareside or the fender emblem off a limited for them to lay flush. I've been meaning to go get another one to do my tailgate, but never have. Yours were cheaper than mine lol since I order through ford, I did get a student discount though so it wasn't full retail, but I had to since there were no lariat badges on eBay

I also pulled my door moldings while I was at it and it really helped clean the looks up with the badges as well

Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but the fender emblem looks fairly crooked, either that or it is my eyes playing tricks on me.

The driver's fender, it may just be the camera angle for this old man.
