Do I want to start and not have a replacement here just in case?
My other trucks started dripping oil on the drive.

Poor excuses but a little chicken, can't afford to mess things up

I'll have to see if I can find a youtube video on how to do it
The ***** is a real quick check, just pull the ***** out and see if they're broken, just so we know were talking about the same ***** heres a link to autozone as a reference in pictures. Just pull the **** out and check the backing to make sure its not broken. or what you can do also is remove the center and 1st **** and switch them http://www.autozone.com/collision-bo...****/ford/f150

Pulled centre **** off and all is good

No damage, the shaft the **** slides on [does that sound rude?] is perfect. Everything's nice and tight and **** rotates left to right and stops in the right places, **** can't be rotated any further than stop position so not slipping anywhere.

What next

This is just the test I would've suggested, as I had a cracked mounting point on the temperature **** in my '99, and it would not turn the shaft. At this point, my bet is the blend door does need replaced. There are a lot of YouTube videos covering the repair, and probably a few threads here as well.

Hi ya

I was going for the blend door and watching the youtube video's, one of them showed that by looking underneath you can just see the actuator shaft. You move the temperature **** from side to side [hot to cold] and the actuator shaft doesn't move on mine.

I did start a thread a while ago on trying to find out where the actuator got it's power from, relay's fuses etc and I did get pointed to wiring diagrams but I didn't have the foggiest what I was looking for [I needed it simpler, like it's fuse number 1]

I have watched loads of video's on swapping the blend door out and would be happy doing that myself [not taking dash out], if I could see the actuator rotating that's where I'd be heading.
I was going to have both door and actuator shipped over but until I suss out where actuator gets it's power supply from it may just be a fuse/relay/connection problem.

My trucks like new really, hardly anythings been used that much, it could be things are stuck through lack of use but everything's really tight, spot on so hopefully nothing to serious
