so i broke my driver side CV shaft and replaced it with one from O Riley's. So this morning i went down to the wash to get some sand and decided to try out the 4wd well the truck went forward about 2-3 feet making a clunking noise i get out and my cv shaft shatterd on the side closest to the diff. my question is there different lengths of cv shafts for the the driver side ?

 

it also cracked the housing on the passenger side

 

Nope there both the same length. Did you make sure the CV wasn't binding before you bolted it in?

 

do u mean binding cuz it came bad from the factory i just put it back in like i got the old one out

 

The cv spins all the time with the wheels so the only thing that changes is u putting power to it where u ******* it or just Eason might be a diff issue

 

i just unbolted the front drive shaft and got the tires in the air everything sounds and moves freely i can even spin the rear part of the diff with my hand

 

i just got another new from the same place and i try to spin it and its binding up

 

Check the t case too make sure 4 is engaged when spinning the front. Spin both tires. Something is sticking somewhere.

We'll I think diff cause it cracked the other shaft that's sounds like something pound up and the cv shaft and housing gave before anything else
