Ok so last week my truck had a misfire. It threw the code that #3 was missing. As I changed my plugs about 2k miles ago I figured it was the COP. I replaced the COP reset my computer and the code didn't come back and the truck ran fine. Today getting off work my truck stared with the same symptoms as before, its missing about 1500 rpms under light acceleration. Did the new COP cover up the real problem for a little bit and if so what could be the culprit?

I would check the spark plug. It's possible you're spark plug is going bad for some reason. #3 is kinda a pain but it's better than having to get it helacoilded.
4 8
3 7. Drivers side
2 6
1 5
Front
Just in case you isn't know the plug numbers
