Default Muffler

Hey guys, ever since i have had my truck ive always wanted to cut the muffler out and straight pipe or put a glass pack on.. I have a shop class in school next year and was thinking about making my own muffler? Would it work?

The stock muffler ?? go out and measure it..

Straight pipe works good. That's what I did cause I'm too cheap to buy a muffler. You'll need a pipe bender,2 clamps and something to cut the pipe with.

Mufflers cherrybomb makes are

Is it to loud? My dad said that when you straight a v8 5.4l its way the hell to loud.

it'll only be too loud if you cut all the cats off, other than that it's actually kind of quiet straight piped. Depending on where you cut the muffler off at determines whether you need an offset or not.

agreed straight pipe my truck is straight piped. its not too loud only if you romp on it.

Actually I've heard other trucks with performance mufflers that are louder than mine. It's not very loud at all.
