Default Muddin+engine= Problem

so i went muddin the other day and got my 5.4L 4x4 a lil wet (in the engine area), and it causes a real rumble and shake across the truck until it dry's off, anyone else had this issue?
is there a way to go muddin still and not get water up in their? all help is appreciated. thanks!

Water + cop's (coil over plugs) = problems.

Don't wash your engine or get it wet or you will fry your cop's. That's probably what you've done.....

You most likely have water on the Coil Plugs.

One thing that may help (and I'm not 100% familiar with the Triton engines TBH so it may not work as well) that I did on my old explorer is to use a healthy amount of dielectric grease around the plugs and all wire connections. This will keep water out.
