Default Mod question

First I have to say I have looked very hard to find my answer but no results.

Okay I have been looking on here about the fog light mod. I have been able to take the head light switch out and grind down the ramp that allows the fogs to stay on when the running lights are on but after it was all said and done I had no result.

Now the next thing. I have looked and looked on here even more about the wiring issue. I'm not sure if anyone has come across this but instead of having two pigtails on the back of my headlight switch I have three. I have read that you should splice either numbers 2 and 12 or 5 and 12. I have not seen any numbers and am not sure what wires to splice and by the way its a 1998.

Please help.

Here is what I did, on mine.

Okay, find the #2 wire (white/black) and the #12 wire (brown) that is attached to the connector and splice them together. That's it! No cutting needed! Don't forget to electrical tape/insulate your splice well.
That came from this "how to". http://www.svtlightnings.com/svt/how...s/foglamps.htm

The article is geared toward later models, but the wire colors are the same. I did mine and I can use fogs, with park, low and high beams.

I have looked at the wire colors and I do have a brown but no black and white. I not sure if having the three pigtails is the problem...

Really? Mine has three connectors and the colors were the same as the how-to.

I believe the colors I spliced were yellow and brown but they are powered with the parking lights so you cant turn them off if your lights are on...

The quote I gave, above, is take from the same link you posted. I don't see anywhere that says a yellow wire.

I don't know if the earlier models, had different colored wires, but it worked out on mine. I can have parking lights, parking lights and fogs, headlights, headlights and fogs and the same with high beams.

I like to be able to have just parking lights. Like when I pull out of the driveway, in the morning, I'm not shining lights through the neighbors window.
