Default Map sensor.

Does anyone know where the map sensor is located on a 1997 f150 4.2?

No MAP sensor listed in 97. 96 yes with SBF or I6. There is a MAF sensor, behind the air filter housing.

So I don't have a map sensor, but I have a maf sensor instead?

Yes, but with that, I don't know what you need. I just stated what is and isn't used in your year according to my Ford catalogs.

What are your codes?

Rich on bank 1, and rich on bank 2. I cleaned the pcv valve yesterday and noticed that it is has a really loose fit in valve cover. It loose enough it probably isn't holding vacuum around it. Would that cause a rich running condition?

This is what happens when Scanner/Readers get misunderstood from their display.
.
Rich both banks would be codes 172/175.
It is not a vacuum leak!
It's to much fuel.
Leaking Injectors, fuel regulator, fuel pressure too high, or possibly the Mass Air meter..
.
Codes 171/174 is just the opposite.
To much air = vacuum intake leak common to both banks.
Are you sure which condition you have?
What are the codes to be sure which condition you have.
A second way is to look at the Long Term Fuel Tables for which direction they have been shifted tells the real story.
Good luck.

I did replace the maf sensor, the 02 sensors, the fuel pump, the fuel filter, and the injectors. I am good at replacing parts, but not the greatest at diagnostics. Unless you have anything else you think I could check on, I might just have my mechanic diagnosis it for me.

Check the fuel pressure at the rail and see where you sit. You could be as simple as a damaged fuel pressure regulator also.
