Lug nut issues

All the holes in all my wheels are egged and 14mm and I have 12mm studs and I don't have a problem at all. I tighten them with a 100 lbs. torque stick on my impact and they never loosen up.

Got the studs changes out today and it seems to be better

Check the threads Clean any rust or dirt that could keep the wheel from seating. Then with a torque wrench in three stages tighten to 100 foot pounds then with a breaker bar an additional one quarter to one half of a turn. Keep checking them.

It's been more than a decade since this question was posted.

100 ft pounds PLUS a quarter to half turn? That's not only crazy, it's wrong.
