I really want to check my fuel pressure but don't have the gauge to do it. Curious about the fuel pump as I am sure it's the original...

It was just a thought since it really only has a slight miss at idle but around 1500 rpms and 40-55 mph while accelerating you can really feel it. Not so much outside of that range.

So made a drive today and my misfire moved from cylinder 6 to 5 so that wire must not be getting a good connection or something as the resistance checked out and when Ford tested it with their special gadget it was showing good. I have no other codes so gonna get a new set this evening and put them on and hopefully that solves the problem.

Will let y'all know.

I hate to speak too soon but I just swapped all the plug wires with new ones and drove anywhere from 35-70 mph with stop lights and stop signs and there was no misfire!

I am so happy but irritated too as this one wire has been tested 3 times and one of those was by a Ford dealership. Glad she is running like a dream again though!

Thank you thank you for everybody's help. I learned some new things along the way thanks to y'all and that's priceless!

Nope seems to still be running like a dream and no misfires. I drove into Norfolk, Va last night which is about an hour from me and congested traffic and she did good. I thought I felt a miss as she shifts into 3rd gear but thinking its a figment of my imagination since I am so used to there being one lol.

I still cant believe it was a plug wire and am upset with myself for not thinking about it sooner. On the other hand though it was testing with good resistance and the Ford dealerships special plug wire tester showed it was good and they were brand new as of April 2013 so I would have never guessed the came defective lol.

Thanks again for everyone's help on this one!
